Reflections

Reflections are very interesting...they help you see the objects and scenery around you in a new way. I took some neat reflection shots today, and thought I would share them:)

And while we are on the subject of reflections...I thought I would "reflect" on January so you get a little update on what I have been doing:)
Since I was working in the general contracting world for several months, I learned some useful skills, and have recently been putting them to good use here in my home.
We built our home many years ago, but moved in before the interior was finished. Doors needed to be put up, base trim, door trim, and painting all needed to be done. So now that I have those skills, and some time, I have taken on the job of finishing the inside of our house:) When I get a chance, I will take some pictures of projects I finish and post them for you. Besides that, I am still teaching piano and sitting with an elderly lady who has dementia.
With all the snow we had over the weekend, I have been able to focus more on inside work, but also get some sledding time in with my siblings. Elijah and Faith came over to sled as well and we had a great time:) Of course, with Faith being from Texas, she isn't used to the cold temperatures and all the snow. But warming up with hot tea and hot chocolate helped get our blood flowing again;)
And I have another surprise to share with you, but- you'll have to wait until next time...

Passing unnoticed

Sometimes it seems like life moves very slowly, and other times it seems that it moves very quickly. It seems that the opposite of what I want, happens. If I wish for it to move slowly, it moves quickly, and if I wish it would move quickly, it moves slowly. Nevertheless, the past 5 months have come and gone like a flash. I can hardly believe January is almost over. I realize that there may be very few people who read my blog; perhaps a lot of that has to do with how infrequently I write. ;) But I was thinking about what I might blog about and looking through pictures... Florida Bound!

Hello, hello, hello! I know it's been so long since I have written, but if you read my previous posts, you'll know why I was too busy to post. Back in mid to end of April, I went to Florida with my sister Olivia and Mom, for two weeks. What a time we had. We made many good memories together and Olivia and I packed as many "firsts" in those two weeks as possible. A few of those firsts include, flying, fishing, parasailing and going through the airport by ourselves on the trip back since mom left after the first week. We had such a good time, and I am glad my sister made such an effort to make it happen. {thank you Olivia!!} I will include the best pictures I have and I hope you enjoy them:) A couple things I learned while down there are: One- just because you have three girls from the same family doing something together, doesn't mean they all agree on what is "fun". But despite we all had different opinions, we worked together to have a grand  time:...

Why have I been so silent?

Okay, so you guys might be wondering why I haven't posted in a while- unless you follow me on social media;) But if you don't, I have been silent because I have been busy with...  My brother Elijah and his new fiancé! He got engaged this past Sunday to Faith Grubb and we are all thrilled for him!! I will share a few pictures like normal. But you may be wondering how they met and where and such. I will provide you with a few details.  He met her this past March (2015) at a get together he and my other brother attended. Over the spring and summer they got to know each other long distance and after praying about it, they felt the Lord leading them to marriage. Faith is from the big state Texas, and so it is a ways from where we live, but Elijah doesn't mind the drive to see her, and makes the trip when time allows.
