A well spent day

I'm thankful for all we got accomplished today, as a family:)
- house thoroughly cleaned
- outside area all cleaned up
- trashed dumped
- littles had their baths
- driving with Dad
- cow milked~twice
- all three meals made and cleaned up
- grain shed cleaned out (and mice caught)
- time to play with neighbor children
- time with Jesus
- ricotta cheese made...
And I got the stuffed shells in the oven for tomorrow:)
And tomorrow- I start a new list of tasks...but I'm so thankful for my family; we live each day together, working through the problems, rejoicing in our blessings, and enjoying each ones company- together.
And as the stuffed shells are cooking, I have my a couple more things to do before bed:)

I know I usually try to share pictures with you, but recently, while at work, my iPod was waterlogged, and so I don't have it to take pictures anymore. But you'll be happy to know I have one for you:)
The stuffed shells baking:)

Oh, I do have this one too:) Little sisters helping are always great!
Just before this picture was taken, she said, "you're my best friend". Now isn't that sweet?
I thank Jesus for sending us this little precious gift!

And until next time,
Elise

He's Always On Time

Two months have come and gone and I'm working on the third. It's hard to believe my time here in Alabama is almost up...it's gone by faster than I thought it would.  God has taught me a lot during my stay here, but I've been so busy, I haven't had much time to sit down and write a blog post about it. While it would take too long to tell you about everything God has been teaching me, I'll share a recent lesson with you.  When others want to know what, where, when, how and why, it's not always easy to give an answer. I've been thinking a lot about what else God has for me to do. I was pretty anxious about it last week. It made for a restless few days and nights.  But later in the week, I was reading through some "old" journal entries, from earlier in my stay here in AL, and I had been praying for and encouraging some friends, to trust the Lord because we don't have to have the answers. If we had the answers we would not need to trust. As I wa...

SURPRISE!

I was so excited to see some dear, dear friends of ours at my graduation party. They came down from Delaware to surprise Olivia and I, but sadly, I was not as surprised as Olivia was. I had seen a message  go through on the iPad to our friend that contained a link for the local hotel. And being the person I am, I put things together right away... They were probably coming for my party as a surprise. Bummer, I had ruined my surprise! I also took note of the fact that they never answered yes or no to the evite we sent out through email, and of the fact that when they sent me a card, it did not say, " wish we could be there with you", but "we will be thinking of you" or something of that sort. I was not 100% sure they were coming, but I was 90% sure😉 but thankfully I had forgotten about all this, since it had occurred about two weeks prior to the party. Note: I am known for accidentally ruining my own surprises. I don't mean to, I just hear something, or see somet...

December craziness:)

Well, folks, I don't know if anyone ever reads my blog, but if you do- I guess you have realized that I haven't blogged in a while:)  I don't have as much spare time as did at one time, but that doesn't mean I enjoy blogging any less. Life marches on and it seems the older you get, the faster it marches. {Do I have any Amens?} If you have an instagram account and follow me, you will probably know some of what has been keeping me busy, but for those of you who don't, I will give a little update:)  December was full of chicken processing, caroling, Christmas concerts for my sisters and I, prayer meeting, travels to DE and PA to visit family for Christmas, a Christmas party for the young people and adults at church, finishing my work with the contracting business, teaching piano as well as our annual Christmas service. We kicked off the New Year by having some friends over and making eight homemade pizzas, (yes, I was in charge of getting them all made, and I loved...
