Florida Bound!

Hello, hello, hello! I know it's been so long since I have written, but if you read my previous posts, you'll know why I was too busy to post.
Back in mid to end of April, I went to Florida with my sister Olivia and Mom, for two weeks. What a time we had. We made many good memories together and Olivia and I packed as many "firsts" in those two weeks as possible. A few of those firsts include, flying, fishing, parasailing and going through the airport by ourselves on the trip back since mom left after the first week.
We had such a good time, and I am glad my sister made such an effort to make it happen. {thank you Olivia!!}
I will include the best pictures I have and I hope you enjoy them:)
A couple things I learned while down there are:
One- just because you have three girls from the same family doing something together, doesn't mean they all agree on what is "fun". But despite we all had different opinions, we worked together to have a grand  time:)
Two- I really like fishing!
Three- I really like flying:)

The day we left for two weeks of adventure:)

Our first flight-ever!

Banking over the bridge into Tampa

Arrived! 😎 😅 going from 40 degree weather to 80 degree weather!

Our grandmother had our room all ready🙂

Sunset on the beach that first night

Walking on the beach is something I love to do- as long as the beach isn't crowded;)

The market was one of our favorite places!

We went to see God's Not Dead 2; that is a movie well done y'all:)

We liked to swim at night after the "crowds" we're gone an the sun had set:)
Photo credit to my sister for this beautiful picture:)

The water is extremely clear down there!

Big puffy clouds...I was always hoping that they were bringing a thunderstorm;)

Sweet Berries Ice cream always helps cool you down:)

How quickly my focus shifts to others...(not what you may think)

While at work today, I was a little bored, and I wanted to read. I always bring my Bible in my bag I take to work, so I figured I would read that:) I decided to read the proverb of the day (proverbs 9). Proverbs 9 talks about wisdom and foolishness. It speaks of how you will only hurt yourself by rebuking a scoffer. But if you instruct a wise man, he will love you. As I thought about that- the thought came to mind that I knew a few people who should read that passage. But the Lord quickly showed me my own heart attitude. Woe is me that I should think that so quickly! How do I respond when others point out foolishness in my own life? Or do others not point it out because I have shown myself to be prideful and arrogant? Always thinking I am right... My first thought should not concern those who I think need it- but just focused one person, and that's me. None of us are as wise as we should or could be. We are all prideful at times, and that was a good reminder to me!  That was a hear...

He's Always On Time

Two months have come and gone and I'm working on the third. It's hard to believe my time here in Alabama is almost up...it's gone by faster than I thought it would.  God has taught me a lot during my stay here, but I've been so busy, I haven't had much time to sit down and write a blog post about it. While it would take too long to tell you about everything God has been teaching me, I'll share a recent lesson with you.  When others want to know what, where, when, how and why, it's not always easy to give an answer. I've been thinking a lot about what else God has for me to do. I was pretty anxious about it last week. It made for a restless few days and nights.  But later in the week, I was reading through some "old" journal entries, from earlier in my stay here in AL, and I had been praying for and encouraging some friends, to trust the Lord because we don't have to have the answers. If we had the answers we would not need to trust. As I wa...

December craziness:)

Well, folks, I don't know if anyone ever reads my blog, but if you do- I guess you have realized that I haven't blogged in a while:)  I don't have as much spare time as did at one time, but that doesn't mean I enjoy blogging any less. Life marches on and it seems the older you get, the faster it marches. {Do I have any Amens?} If you have an instagram account and follow me, you will probably know some of what has been keeping me busy, but for those of you who don't, I will give a little update:)  December was full of chicken processing, caroling, Christmas concerts for my sisters and I, prayer meeting, travels to DE and PA to visit family for Christmas, a Christmas party for the young people and adults at church, finishing my work with the contracting business, teaching piano as well as our annual Christmas service. We kicked off the New Year by having some friends over and making eight homemade pizzas, (yes, I was in charge of getting them all made, and I loved...
