It shall be "untitled"

Early this year, in February, we entered into kidding season. We have kept dairy goats for the past nine years and after purchasing a milk cow this past fall, we began to sell our goats as they kidded.  It has been sad to sell them after practically growing up with them, but it is something to get used to when living on a farm.   I cherish the moments I spent helping the does while they were in labor, for I know I will not have that opportunity again.  I love baby goats and spent plenty of time holding them.  I thank God for the time I have spent helping my family on the small farm here in the south. I thought I would share some of the picture I took while helping with one of the births we had early this year. The doe had three baby girls:) Yes, I took all the pictures myself because I was the only one down there :) The goats did not mind.     (above) The mama is in labor here and was so sweetly resting her head on me :)  It ...

Spring Has Sprung

Spring has sprung and I am so glad it has!  There are so many trees with pretty blossoms everywhere and flowers are abundant.   I love taking walks in the afternoon or early morning and just soak up the sunshine and the beauty our creator has put all around me! The scents of the flowers are amazing and the breeze smells like spring.  You can almost hear the fresh green grass growing after a afternoon shower.  God is a God of beauty! Today was cloudy and it rained this morning, but this afternoon I got some nice pictures of the flowers around the property. I serve an awesome God who loves me so much and what a blessing it is that He creates beautiful flowers and a beautiful season for me to enjoy! ~  Until next time,           Elise

Spread a Little Joy

This past week, I was feeling under the weather, due to a cold I had. I was resting in bed and little Kristen came down to see me =)  She wanted to know why I was in bed and after I told I was sick, she said, "well, I can make you feel better, okay?"  I took a picture of her smiling face because she was so sweet. By the way, she's a ham in front of the camera ;P I know, I look sick ;) ~ Until next time,         Elise
Today's Thoughts The Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever!  {Hebrews 13:8}   What a wonderful truth and comfort!  I am so glad that the God I came to know, love and serve eight years ago  is the very same God I know, love and serve today!   He loves just as much as did eight years ago and He always will! His mercies are new e.v.e.r.y. morning!  {Lamentations 3:22-23} How much I have for which to thank Him! ~ That Daddy comes home safely every night ~ Plenty of food to eat three meals a day ~ Multiple Bibles in my possession ~ The church family God has given me ~ The ability to speak, talk, sing ~ The Lord's grace every day ~ His forgiveness! And that is just a small percentage of everything I have to be thankful for; there is so much  more I did not list! The Sun rose today, and will rise tomorrow because He said it will until He returns!  I will never be without His care because He will never forget about me....
